About protective equipment.
(all photos are taken on the internet as an example, are not our products)
The models of our production have an external resemblance to edged weapons and are similarly used for sports and training purposes. Therefore, their use in a contact duel requires wearing protective equipment. In this note, we will look at what minimum protection should be worn in duels on certain layouts.
Daggers, swords and sabers. Designed for chopping blows and injections. The workshop recommends taking care of face protection. The ideal option is a fencing mask with additional protection of the crown and back of the head. We advise you not to expose your hands to blows (😉) and protect them with leather, reinforced plastic or metal gloves, and also do not forget about the protection of the groin and joints.
Spears. They are intended for prick, and therefore the workshop strongly recommends taking care of protecting the face, or at least the eyes. The ideal option for a contact duel is a fencing mask for a sports saber. And also a pair of thick leather gloves with protection with long forearms and groin. The body and hands can not be protected, there will be no harm from a couple of bruises, rather a benefit. You will be clearly shown which places should be better protected.
Poleaxe, halberds, battle axes, etc. Designed for chopping blows and injections (if a piercing element is provided in the design). The workshop recommends taking a responsible approach to duels on such layouts and not neglecting protective equipment. Wear metal helmets, be sure to protect your hands with metal or plastic gloves /mittens, cover your body and legs with quilted or plastic protection, especially your neck, elbows and knees. Don't ignore groin protection. Ideally, if you are protected by armor or armor for WMFC.
